Other Fabrics and Products. Dale Techniche produces a
range of tubular and flat knitted fabrics of various widths and diameters.
Most of these fabrics are made for particular applications and use yarns
suited to that application. However, similar products can be made using
other yarns for different uses. Interlock, pique and other knitted
constructions illustrated on other pages can also be produced using other
yarn types. Please contact us for details. This section also shows

Tubular, stretch, narrow diameter and flat
fabrics.
Tubular Stretch Fabrics
Quality 9899 – Textured polyester rib tubular
stretch fabric, 7 and 11 ins diameter.
Also available in textured Nylon and cotton.
Quality 9913 – Protex®/cotton tubular rib stretch fabric, 8 ins
diameter. Applications – cut and sew balaclavas. Also available in
Cotton and from Nomex® fibres.
Narrow diameter tubular fabrics.
Dale Techniche Ltd. can produce a range of narrow
diameter tubular fabrics ranging from Quality 1066, 4mm diameter
lace from Nomex® material, illustrated below, to tubes up to 40 mm
diameter.
These
fabrics are mostly used as protective coverings for hoses and
similar items and can be made from yarns including Nomex®, Kevlar®,
textured polyester, acrylic, textured nylon, polyester/cotton and
cotton.
Most yarns are available in a range of colours.
(left) Q1206 rot proofed cotton in knitted tube and
finished article.
Flat fabrics.
A
range of flat bed rib fabrics is available from yarns of Nomex® and
other fibres.
Quality 3033 ( left) is a 2.5 cm wide 1 x 1 rib braiding used for
stripes on motor racing suits and similar applications. Wider, 2x2
rib and similar structures are available for cut and sew collars on
flame retardant garments.

A stretch cover made from Acrylic, polyester and Lycra for fitting
over workers wrist watches and belt buckles to prevent accidental
scratches being made to products with highly polished surfaces.

A stretch, wrist and lower hand protector made from
our quality N9698 flame retardant cuffing for use where there is a
risk of the wrist area coming into accidental contact with a hot
surface.
